MV Norseman

The name, MV Norseman has been a household name for years in Port Douglas and with a new vessel they are expanding their reputation and opportunity to catch quality reef fish on the Great Barrier Reef.

Norseman is an 18m (60ft) purpose-designed and custom-made vessel. It is powered by two Detroit Diesel series 60, 6 cylinder turbo engines and is capable of speeds up to 28 knots. It can comfortably accommodate up to 30 passengers on shared daily charters. Furthermore it can cater for up to 45 passengers for snorkelling, fishing, film or corporate groups on privately booked charters.

The vessel features air-conditioned cabins, expansive rear deck including a duckboard/sport fishing platform, upper deck seating including sun lounges, shower and toilet facilities, walk-on boarding is provided and state-of-the-art navigation, 3D bottom imaging, radar and sounder equipment is fitted.

They have a photographer aboard who is there to capture every moment allowing passengers the opportunity to relive their experiences forever. Personalised prints are available for purchase as are CDs, CD slideshows and DVDs, which include video footage as well as still images.

Drinks, including soft drinks, bottled water, beer, wine and sparkling wine are available for purchase on board the vessel.

They provide passengers with the option of either rods or handlines, all bait and tackle is included as well as a smorgasbord lunch and morning and afternoon tea.
