Kalira Game Fishing
Kalira is a 54ft Martimo and beautifully designed for game fishing opportunities on the Great Barrier Reef.
They offer daily charters from January - August and extended live aboard for 4 singles or two couples between September - December.
Marlin fishing is overnight with a minimum of 3 days/ 2 nights and maximum of four anglers. Live aboard can also be extended out to 10 days/ 9 nights for those extended and far reaching areas of the GBR.
Kalira can be chartered for the challenge of catching the 1000Lb Black Marlin or sport fishing for the Blue and Striped Marlin and also the smaller Black Marlin. The areas fished in pursuit of the Marlin produce exciting Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Dog Tooth Tuna, Dolphin Fish ( Mahi Mahi ) and many other species.
Captain Ashley Wallis captured his first marlin at the age of fourteen, and since then has tagged over 800 billfish.
