Fa Fun Estuary & Reef Fishing Charters
Fa-Fun Boat Charters is owned and operated by Adam & Jodie Cartwright. Adam, who with over 25 yrs of experience in commercial & charter fishing will pick you up with boat in tow & head off to your fishing destination. You will then be returned to your accommodation all in the comfort of an air conditioned 4 wheel drive.
With smaller groups our tours offer a personalised fishing experience where you can expect to try a variety of fishing methods, or fish any one or more, of our many local estuaries, inshore reefs & wrecks. We promote sustainable fishing but are not strictly catch and release.
Both our vessels are custom built and designed specially for fishing in northern waters providing you with a safe and stable fishing platform.
Fa-fun is a Cairns Custom Craft powered by a 240hp Yanmah diesel engine driving a Hamilton Jet Unit allowing access into shallow areas rarely fished by others. With twin 82lb thrust electric drives you can go into silent mode for lure casting. A fold down canopy for shade, ample padded seating & huge casting decks make for a very comfortable day on the water.
Our second boat is a smaller version of Fa-fun. At 5.5 meters & powered by a 50hp Yamaha outboard. It is suited perfectly to fishing shallow estuaries and inshore waters.
We offer half day shared trips and private charters ranging from 4hrs, 6hrs and 8 hrs covering river, inshore reef and outer reef.
