Minke Light Tackle Game Fishing
Minke is a 40ft Assegai custom built express style sportfishing cruiser with a cruise speed of 25 knots. Based in Port Douglas for private day charters only, this is a premium vessel for a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef.
Trips can include reef fishing, light tackle game fishing, giant trevally popper fishing and also adventure cruising opportunities to sand cays, tropical islands and private reef systems. Snorkelling and diving can also be part of your day.
With high comfort, speed and great service on your side you will be amongst the serious action on offer including coral trout, giant trevally, red emperor, nannygai, spanish mackerel, yellowfin tuna, dogtooth tuna and small black marlin amongst a host of others.
Your personalised trip also includes morning/afternoon tea, tropical lunch and soft beverages. All bait and absolute high end tackle supplied. Snorkel gear provided if requested (Diving on Application). Alcohol is BYO with eskies and ice provided. All legal catches are cleaned and conveniently bagged for you to take home.
This charter is 100% proudly locally operated and available all year round.
Charters
All daily reef charters depart at 8.30am returning by 4.30pm from the Port Douglas Marina Berth C 6.
Private Charter Only
- $3750 per day – Max. 8 pax. (recommended for 6 pax. fishing)
- Please note that a 20% surcharge applies during school holidays
- Snorkelling available on request with gear supplied. Diving POA.

- A 7 Day 100% cancellation fee applies prior to the starting time on daily charters.
